Show Your Support by Being a Shore to Shore Telethon Volunteer!

September 4 - 7, 2013         at Affirmations

As the The Shore to Shore Equality Ride departs from Ferndale on Wednesday, September 4 at 10am, a telethon will take place at Affirmations during the four-day journey to raise money and awareness of the critical work being done by Michigan's LGBT Community Centers for full LGBT equality. The telethon will be documenting riders as they head toward their destination, through social media, video clips, and interviews. Telethon volunteers will also be phone banking and extending their social networks to include their own supportive family and friends to spread our message of equality throughout this First Annual Equality Ride.

As the CCN gears up for the Equality Ride, the need for volunteers is critical to garner support and help spread the word.  Interested volunteers should contact Cass Varner, Director of Communications at or call (248) 677-7227.  Volunteers can also sign up for the telethon at
equality.  The Shore to Shore Equality Ride is made possible, in part, by its presenting sponsor, Comerica Bank. Additional sponsors include, Between the Lines, Metro Times, Whole Foods, Perceptions, Fraser Bicycles Uncommon Coffee Roasters, Aut Bar, Claddagh Chiropractic, Garden Fresh Salsa, Aflack, S&G Insurance, Bethlehem United Church of Christ (Ann Arbor), and Disciples of Christ Christian Church (Kalamazoo)
